Working with Sophie and the team transformed Sally’s ability to communicate her mission effectively.
Sally now has a clear, compelling, resonant brand message that her audience understands and warms to. The brand strategy has helped Sally to position Blueberry Spark as a movement, not just a training provider. This has made her work more appealing to agency leaders who recognise how urgent the problem is. The messaging framework is a starting point for all Sally’s future marketing, keeping everything consistent and meaning she can focus on the impact of her work.
And personally, Sally feels more confident: ready to challenge the status quo in her industry, knowing her messaging is supported by an evidence-based strategy.
“I found a way to articulate the brand message in a way that lands with people, that lands with my audience, without them feeling attacked. The strategic piece has been brilliant — it’s given me a jumping-off point to flex and adapt my messaging for different audiences.”
Sally had a strong mission for Blueberry Spark, and a big mission, but struggled to find her voice and articulate her mission. She had a clear vision for Blueberry Spark and the industry, but struggled to communicate it to senior leaders in a way that resonated. Many were either in denial about the problem, or overwhelmed at the sheer scale of it.
She approached Electric Peach when she realised she needed more than “just a copywriter.” The executional work wasn’t really the problem, and fixing it would be a sticking plaster. She recognised that her challenge was deeper: she needed deeper brand and messaging strategy to build a solid foundation.
Our story-first approach was the perfect fit for Sally. Our goal was to refine her messaging so it could make a real impact — creating a movement rather than just filling another gap in the market as a training provider. We focused on developing a brand voice that is authentic, compelling, and persuasive, so agency leaders see Blueberry Spark as a partner in addressing industry-wide challenges.
We began by working closely with Sally to extract and refine her vision, ensuring her messaging is genuine and strategically sound. Here’s what we did:
Sally is the founder of Blueberry Spark, a business dedicated to reclaiming the lost art of account management in marketing agencies. With a background in marketing, advertising, and agency work, Sally identified a critical gap in the industry: junior to mid-level account handlers lack the training, tools, and support to fulfil their roles effectively.
She’s seen stress and burnout have a huge impact on the industry because of this — employee mental health has suffered and there’s been a decline in the quality of work across agencies. So she created The Secret Account Director to provide a safe space for junior to mid-level account handlers to ask questions, receive training, and get the support they need.
Sally’s mission is to address this systemic issue by providing training, mentoring, and a peer-to-peer community for account managers, aiming to transform the industry from within.
